Masturbation seems to be one of the most difficult habits for guys to break. Some would question whether or not it's worth the battle to overcome it. Some would say that it isn't addressed specifically in the Bible, so perhaps it ok.

| If those were your only 2 choices, then yes masturbation is clearly better than raping someone. However, why do you think those are the only 2 choices? Perhaps, when a guy just begins recovery works, those are his choices, but hopefully you will learn there are other choices. Don't stay at the beginning point, but move on and learn other choices or ways to direct your energies. |

The drive to want to be like Christ and please the Lord , your relationship with Him-He should be the most important down deep heartfelt purpose worth going to war for-
that said , God's Word says that He is Glorified in our weaknesses. The Apostle Paul said , HIS strength is made perfect in our weaknesses ,We must then first acknowledge that we fall short of the Glory of God. That we are nothing without Him.This is very evident. The multitude of mans sins only lift the Lord Higher- now are we to continue to miss out, or is it Gods intention that we experience His righteousness , His strength, and therefor Love and adore and praise Him For Who He is? If our difficulties are impossible on our own, Then all thats left is His ability ans where is His ability that we should respect His might? Is He willing? JESUS CHRIST and Him crucified! So our faith in God with whom all things are possible, and Gods willingness pr oven to us through John 3:16 give us confident that though we seem to fall short now in this present time as we see it, by the grace of God and His mercy He in His time is keeping us from total destruction and as we believe in Him , that- As the Bible says , He works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure, We know then and trust in the name of Christ to bring us to perfection until that day- when we are delivered from this body of death into the Glory of His presence without shame. |
